How does booking work?

Send us a message from the booking page. We will respond with a questionnaire within 24-48 hours to customize all the details of your picnic. Note, there are 2 packages to choose from: Essential and Luxury/Luxury Special Event. Select a picnic package for your number of guests. Need an extra table, custom cookies for a celebration, board games, etc? See the available list of add-ons under Packages. We will send you an invoice to complete your booking. Look out for your booking confirmation in your email once your payment is processed.

Where does the picnic take place?

All picnics will be held at private locations of your choice for the time being, based on our availability. Picnic booking at public parks across the Bay Area coming soon. Updates will be provided on our website as these sites become available.

Can I reschedule or cancel my reservation?

Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund for booking cancellations. Rescheduling will be allowed for inclement weather conditions. If the forecast predicts rain or extreme cold/winds on the day of your event, then we will give you the opportunity to reschedule the picnic to any future available date of your choice. If you prefer to chance it and proceed with your scheduled picnic, once the picnic has commenced there will be no option to reschedule and no refund will be issued in the event of inclement weather.

Can we leave prior to our scheduled end time?

Yes. Please provide us with 30 minutes notice via phone call or text message. You are responsible for all picnic items until we are able to return and pack up.

Do we have to clean up when we are done?

No. Our team handles all setup and clean up.

What happens if I show up late?

Your time starts at the scheduled time selected during your booking. We understand life is unpredictable, so we give you a 10 min grace period.

What happens if I want to add an additional hour to my picnic package?

You can add up to 2 additional hours to your package at an hourly rate when you complete your booking.

Can I choose the style of picnic I desire?

Unfortunately, no. Our team of stylists has been constructed because of their experience, impeccable taste, eye for detail, and excellence in design and event planning. We operate by a model where you don’t have to worry about any details. By booking with us, we take away the stress of event planning, and we strive to make every picnic picture perfect. If you have some general color schemes you desire, you can email us at picnicsinthebay@gmail.com and we will try to incorporate them if feasible.
